Brochure
Instructions
Be creative and
informational. Include information that
will not necessarily be included on your PowerPoint and backboard.
Requirements
1) Complete a trifold brochure
using 8 ˝ x 11 inch paper–that means there will be 6 panels to fill. We have a brochure program on our computers
(Microsoft Office), and you will also have one class day from both classes in
the Computer Lab. We will have paper available, and the brochures can be
printed in the MCS Print Shop.
2) Single space text, 10
point font, utilize ALL space. In
advertising, white space is lost money. The Works Cited will not be included ON
the brochure–it will be in a different folder, but you must turn one in.
3) Write an introductory
paragraph–an overview-- that puts the topic into perspective as it relates to
the decade of the 1960's. Write a
concluding paragraph that summarizes and draws some conclusions about your topic
in the 1960's.
4) Create a storyboard or
“mock-up” of what you plan to include in the brochure before beginning. The front panel should include your topic,
the names of the group members, Maryville High School, March 1-2, 2004, and a
graphic.
5) Your brochure should
include various types of information to make it visually appealing–pictures
(minimum of 5), bulleted information, paragraphs. Make sure that your pictures are large enough to be clear and
sharp, but not too large (just to take up space).
6) PROOFREAD!!! Your brochure should not have any errors in
spelling or grammar.
