1960s Decade Timeline for Spring 2004

Jan 7 -- Sign up in groups of 3 for topics and locations. One member of each group must meet in Mr.
              White's room at 3:30 pm for the lottery.

Jan. 8 -- Decades Project Open House for Parents in the Ruby Tuesday Room, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Jan 8 -- Report to the library for bibliography search. 20 cards due from each group. Deposit cards in
              box provided in library no later than library closing time.

Jan. 9 & 15 -- Report to the library for note taking. 100 cards due from each group. Deposit cards in
                        box provided in library not later than library closing time.

Week of Jan. 19 -- Required meeting with advisor. Preliminary Plan Sheet (pdf) due.

Jan. 20 -- Work on brochure in class or computer lab.

Jan. 23 -- Brochure due–typed copy in correct and final layout form. Deposit in box provided in Mr. White’s                  room no later than 8:30 a.m.

Week of Jan. 26 -- Required meeting with advisor. Interview expert selected and interview questions
                                 completed. See Interview Requirements form (pdf); Interview Question form (pdf);
                                 and Interview Permission Slip (pdf)

Jan. 30 -- Final, corrected copy of brochure due–ready for printing and the judges. Deposit in box provided in                  Mr. White’s room no later than 8:30 a.m.

Week of Feb. 2 -- Required meeting with advisor. PowerPoint Storyboard & Revised Plan Sheet
                               (pdf) due.

Feb. 9 -- One expert interview due from each group. Turn in questions, transcript, tape. Deposit items
                in box provided in Mr. White's room not later than 8:30 am.

Week of Feb. 9 -- Required meeting with advisor. Scavenger hunt questions and umbrella topics due
                               (turn in on a computer disk). Deposit items in box provided in Mr. White's room no
                               later than 8:30 am.

Feb. 12 -- Work on PowerPoint in class or computer lab. See Notes for Using PowerPoint for detailed                   instructions.

Feb. 13 -- Completed PowerPoint Presentations due to Ms. Galyon before 3:30 p.m. Save to Student                   Directory on school hard drive.

Feb. 23 -- Power Point Corrections due to Ms. Galyon.

Feb. 28 -- Set up project in library on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 to 5:00 pm.

Mar. 1 -- Complete set-up and add finishing touches during school day. Prepare for interviews with
                judges.
                3:30-5:00 pm -- Interviews with project participants by faculty judges.
                6:30-8:30 pm -- Evening museum for parents and community viewing.
                                        (Your attendance in costume is required.)

Mar. 2 -- Museum in library from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm for viewing by classes. You must be in costume
              and must stay with your project during English and U.S. History classes.
              3:30 pm -- Break down projects and take them home. Clean up the library and restore all furniture to               order.
